In Haraguchi Bay, on the westernmost tip of the Matsumae Peninsula, townspeople go out in their boats to pray for success in fishing and the safety of the fishermen. The locals load ten fishing boats up with drums and, at ten in the morning, conduct an ocean parade, making three rounds of the bay. Afterwards, they go offshore and sink talismans into the water, praying for safety and a good catch. In the town, there is also a festival in honor of Hachiman, using one float.
