Activities targeted towards groups are also available to enjoy at the recently popular Snowland Rurumap, located between Sapporo City and New Chitose Airport. These activities are ideal for team building! Reporting back the fun times had alongside the test!

    2

The first game was the “Bubble Ball”. This game involves getting inside a transparent ball and standing up. The main point of the game is to knock the other person over. It’s a game for two people.

    3

It seems that giving yourself a low centre of gravity and then outwitting the other player is the trick of how to win. The balls are fully cushioned to ensure that nobody can ever get hurt playing the game.

    4

The next game was “Snow Flags”, which is basically the same as Beach Flags but on snow. Everyone starts from a place a few dozen meters away, and then scrambles against each other to get the flag.

    5

Everyone stumbles as they make a dash for the flag.

    6

The winner slides in to take the flag!

    7

“I got it!” This game was actually much more fun than expected. Everybody had a great laugh!

    8

The next game was “Sleigh Relay”. Maybe you rode on a bobsleigh when you were younger. This game takes it even further as everyone has to frantically pull the sleigh in a relay-style race.

    9

Go too fast and you’ll slip up and fall. You have to be careful!

    10

The next game was the “Ball-toss Game on Snow”. Although it is being played on snow, it’s basically the same as the ball-toss game played during summer. Despite that, it was actually very fun! Playing this game for the first time in a while makes you realise just how hard it is to actually get the balls in the net!

    11

The final game was “Tug Of War”. In this game, two groups pull on a long, thick rope.

    12

The pure fact that this game is being played on snow makes it hilarious! Your feet slip and slide all over the place!

    13

Some people fell over and lost all firepower. Once this had happened, they couldn’t do anything but except an easy defeat.

    14

After having lots of exercise out on the snow, everyone goes in for lunch. Lunch can be eaten inside a “Kamakura” (Japanese snow hut).

    15

There are three things on the menu. The first is a mouth-watering cheese fondue with colourful vegetables. Dip a wide variety of ingredients and bread into piping hot cheese and enjoy!

    16

The second item on the menu is “Yosenabe” (a Japanese hot pot made with soup stock, vegetables, tofu, seafood, and noodles). The hot pot is brimming full of delicious seafood! Warm your cold body up with this dish!

    17

The final item on the menu is “Genghis Khan”. This is a delicious Japanese dish consisting of succulent grilled mutton and vegetables. The Rurumap style of eating this dish is to dip the cooked food into a sauce before eating it. This dish also comes with a rice ball!

    18

The Kamakura is very spacious and allows for around 5-6 people inside. It is also very tall, allowing for people to stand with ease. It’s a safe haven during snowstorms.

Group activities all done on snow – the fun times are guaranteed!
